Welcome to Just Let Your Soul Grow

Just Let Your Soul Grow (JLYSG) is an award winning community garden providing space for communities to come together, fostering a hands-on, peaceful, and safe environment that revolves around the beauty of being in nature. We strive to educate community members about the joys of gardening and highlighting simple yet effective ways to become environmental stewards addressing issues around climate change through effective sustainable living practices.

Through learning together, strengthening bonds, and recognising the countless benefits of connecting with the natural world, we are dedicated to nurturing inclusive community growth. Our core values are rooted in the power of teaching and learning alongside each other, driven by innovative methods that inspire community members to engage actively in JLSYGs inclusive outdoor garden setting. Come and join us in the garden where you can find out more about how you can help to make a positive impact on both individuals and the environment!

Into The Wild

Scientific research shows that spending time in natural environments positively impacts our well-being. Being outside can reduce stress levels, improve mood, enhance cognitive function, and contribute to a stronger, mutually supportive relationship between people and the environment.  We provide a range of activities and events to harness the transformative power of the natural world. Our initiatives are designed to cultivate a deep appreciation for the environment, encouraging sustainable actions that positively impact both individuals and our communities.

Plot to Plate

Nature provides an exceptional setting for learning, exploration, and connection. Our approach to outdoor education is underpinned by Youth and Community Development principles and values.

We believe that everyone deserves access to healthy & vibrant environments and skills which allow you to grow your own food, regardless of background. We believe that the best learning spaces have no walls! Our inclusive garden welcomes people of all abilities to come and connect in nature. Here you will learn how to promote empathy and respect for all living things, underpinned by our approach to permaculture gardening techniques.

Community Participation

Our success can be attributed to our founder’s determination, skilled specialist staff, and dedicated volunteers. At our core, we believe community participation and empowerment creates positive transformation.

JLYSG prioritises the needs and aspirations of our all who choose to become involved with the project, avoiding a top-down approach. This participant-driven ethos fosters a strong sense of ownership among our members and inspires those who visit us.
