Organic Compost

Composting, Wormeries and Food Waste.

Did you know - One teaspoon of soil contains more organisms than there are people on the planet!? By composting organic matter, we reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill and decrease greenhouse gas emissions. At JLYSG we are passionate about ensuring our soil is as nutrient rich as it gets!. With a little help from our local community and composting worms, we grow healthy food crops in organic soil and reduce the amount of food waste making its way to landfill. Cool eh?! Our community composting initiative is a step in the right direction for anyone looking to reduce their carbon footprint and connect with other 'compost conscious' souls.

It all starts with the soil. Healthy soil produces healthy crops that leads to healthy animals and humans... until we return to the soil. And so it goes!

You can make a difference,  come and join the composting revolution!

Children are our next generation of change makers and composters. At JLYSG we gently teach children the importance of healthy soil. After all, healthy soil, grows healthy crops, grows healthy children!

At JLYSG, we firmly believe that community composting schemes are an incredible way to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices! And guess what? You can be a part of it too. Thanks to all who took part in our recent survey. You have helped us to shape our Composting and Wormeries programme. Our goal is to develop educational workshops based on the needs that were raised, focusing on the benefits of composting and how to start your own. This will be an exciting opportunity for the whole family to learn about the environment and get their hands dirty in the soil. Stay tuned for more information!
